In its third annual workplace research study, Forrest Solutions Legal presents the 2025 Future of Work Survey Report, drawing insights from operations, workplace, and administrative leaders across Am Law 200 firms and other professional services organizations. Conducted in Q2 2025, this year’s study builds on findings from the 2023 Return-to-Office Survey and the 2024 State of the Legal Industry Report, continuing to track how firms are adapting their workplace operations in response to hybrid work, rising talent demands, and operational complexity.

 

The 2025 findings paint a clear picture: while firms have made significant strides in reshaping their physical offices and investing in digital infrastructure, the most persistent—and pressing—barriers to progress are rooted in workforce readiness, talent acquisition, and executional capacity.
